Weekly Newsletter (12th December 2016)

Happy Monday!

With the nights now drawing in, I’m sure a majority of our members are well ahead of me when it comes to Christmas shopping. However, for those of you who have not quite finished your personal lists, I am delighted to announce that we have opened for pre-orders of the first Motspur AC vest. For those of you who did not see the end results of the vote, please see below for how this will look. Special thanks go to our amazing committee who have made this happen.

If anyone is interested in pre-ordering, these are likely to come to £25 each. Please drop me a reply on this address and we will add you to the list. Alternatively, we will be updating the website in the next few weeks to include a ‘Club Store’ where you can buy directly. The lead time for these is currently estimated at 6 – 8 weeks. If you’re unsure if you want one yet, we’ll be ordering a few spares and showing these off in the New Year.

Results Summary

My Power of 10 stalking only turned up a few results for the last couple of weeks, so please do let me know if I’ve missed you and you’d like a mention!

  • Lydia O’Donoghuetwo weeks off the back of a double-header weekend at Peterborough Parkrun (1st place) and St Neots Riverside Half Marathon (46th place), Lydia ran at the beautiful Osterley Parkrun on the 3rd of December, coming home in 2nd in 20:38. A course I ran in March 2015 (as part of my ‘never repeating a parkrun’ challenge) would certainly be quite a challenging one in the winter, so congratulations at being the first individual mentioned in these newsletters!
London Students’ Run
I’m sure most of you saw this on Facebook, but two weekends ago saw the first London Students’ 5K and 10K Run held in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. A race review can be found on the LUCA website at: http://www.london-athletics.com/news_posts/london-students-run/
That’s all from me for today, have a great week all!
